Job Description: Coding Executive (Fresh/Probation Clearance Level 01)

Training Period: One Month

Trainee Medical Coder Job Overview
Coding Executive will be trained on the fundamentals of medical coding through structured training-of-theory during first month. The executive has to pass an initial assessment from its immediate supervisor in order to successfully finish three months probation period. Also the job comes to brief learning of medical billing software and EHR platforms (in practice) such as Advance MD, Office Ally, Charm HealtE.
Training Schedule and Subjects:
Training Plan – Day 1 Week 1: ICD-10 DX Coding Plan
Day 1/2: ICD-10 DX Coding Fundamentals
Day 3 & 4: Chapter-specific ICD-10 DX Coding Rules
Day 5: Test 1
2nd week : CPT coding guidelines
Evaluation Management (E/M) and Medical Decision-Making (MDM) Guidelines– Day 1
Guideline Day 2: Vaccination and Injection Coding
Day 3: Infusion Coding Guidelines
Day 4: MIPS Annual Wellness Coding & All Modifiers Podiatry
Day 5: HCPCS Coding and Use of Modifiers here
CPT Coding guidelines (Continue Week 3)
Day 1 Psychiatry Coding
DAY 2: LAB TEST CODING
Day 3
Day 4: Skin Surgery, Wound Care, Debridement and all modifiers Podiatry
Quiz 5: Grand Quiz (comparative to 2 weeks of CPT coding)
Week 4 – Practical Coding in software
Orientation to medical billing/coding Softwares including Advance MD, Office Ally and Charm EHR—Hands on.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in the one-month training program to develop a strong foundation in medical coding.
- Acquire proficiency in using medical billing software and EHR platforms.
- Successfully complete practical training and evaluations.
- Demonstrate understanding and application of ICD-10 DX and CPT coding guidelines.
- Maintain consistent performance throughout the three-month probationary period to achieve clearance.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and coding principles.
